General information
Attention to users with visual disabilities, with the use of electronic glasses. Providing a vivid view, whose clarity is thanks to a high definition camera and liquid lenses; presenting an improvement of up to 7 lines in an eye chart.
Functioning
- eSight captures high-quality video and displays it on two high-resolution OLED displays
- Enhance images with custom optics
- Uses proprietary algorithms to maximize functional vision
- Stimulates the synaptic activity of photoreceptors, providing the brain with more visual information to naturally compensate for gaps in the visual field
Other benefits
The study is published in the Journal of Optometry and Vision Science (eQUEST, ClinicaTrials.gov Identifier NCT02616900), the eSight approach demonstrated:
- 7 lines of distance improvement in acuity.
- 100% mobility retention.
- 12-letter contrast enhancement.
- Significant improvements in facial recognition.
ESight's technology approach has been clinically validated by six leading low vision institutions:
- Bascom Palmer Eye Research Institute / Lighthouse of the Palm Beaches, Palm Beach, FL
- Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD
- Kellogg Eye Center, Ann Arbor, MI
- University of Toronto, Toronto Western Hospital, Toronto, ON
